Actress Kate Henshaw, Veteran Nollywood actress was chosen without opposition to serve as the Actors Guild of Nigeria’s (AGN) National Public Relations Officer.
Actors Guild of Nigeria’s is the largest actors association in the culture sector in Africa, according to The News Agency of Nigeria reports.
Abubakar Yakubu, the National Secretary of AGN, made this known in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.
The Secretary of AGN said Henshaw was elected on January 9 with a by-election, during a special National Executive Council meeting to fill few vacant posts.
Yakubu also said Michael Yusuf defeated Rilwan Ibiefo to become the vice president of AGN, North-West zone, replacing Alhaji Wash Waziri who occupied the position in the last tenure.
The statement read, “Kate Henshaw will be in charge of disseminating strategic communication among guild and non-guild members.”
