Early Life & Education
Lade was birthed on November 16, in the Mushin area of Lagos State southwestern part of Nigeria, where she was raised as well.
She originally hails from Kwara State, Nigeria.
She obtained a degree in Mass Communication at the University of Ilorin (Unilorin).
Career
Lade developed a passion for music at the age of 6. She began doing music at a very early stage when she emerged as the winner of season 3 of Unilorin idol in 2017.
She started dishing different freestyles and covers of popular songs online. She has done covers of songs like Simi’s Duduke, Fireboy DML’s Playboy, and Khalid With You.
Initially, everyone thought the Airtel 444 song was done by Teni as their voices sound so similar but to the music lovers’ surprise, it was Lade that was behind the sweet melody.
She came through with her first single “Smoov Groove” in 2020 and now, the song is being used by the brand Smoov Chapman as their jingle.
She has done TV Jingles for several top brands. She is the voice behind Airtel 444, travel bet, lacasera, Lasor Seasoning, Airtel Know your size, Vestpay, Goldberg Omoluabi, Smoov Chapman, and many others.
She released her extended play project titled “Omolade” in December 2021. The EP comprises five tracks with no featured artist. Some of the songs on the EP include; Corny, Hustle, Sing, Situationship, and Speechless.
She released another record-breaking single titled “Adulthood Anthem” in 2022. The song went viral online with over One million streams within a few days of its release. The popularity of the song comes with different artist dropping their verses including Oladips dishing out lyrical vibes.
