Fatai Balogun and Wunmie Peggy has been elected by the Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement, Lagos Chapter as its Chairman and Deputy Chairman respectively.
This was announced in a statement signed by Keruwole Abiodun, the National Secretary of the group.
In his acceptance speech, Balogun said, “It was a glorious event and commended the electoral committee for a well-coordinated process, the southwest zonal executives for their wonderful job by supporting the process, and all aspirants that contested in the election.”
He also commended the leadership of CAGraM for standing on the part of the truth.
“I sincerely show my appreciation to all those who see me fit to be elected as chairman of our state chapter. I am sure of your support and backing towards moving us to a greater height, it is now time for all the elected executive members to fold their sleeves and get ready for action.
“It shouldn’t be how far but should be how well. Let us come together as brothers from different wombs, let us embrace each other towards a common goal of success. Lagos has always been the centre of excellence, and now is the time for us to prove this, by setting the pace for others to follow,” he added.
Salisu Magaji, the National Chairman of CAGraM, and members of the National Working Committee commended the chapter on their successful election.
Abiodun noted that the NWC was equally proud of the transparent conduct of the state electoral committee under the watch of the trustworthy CAGraM southwest zonal executives led by Kolawale Okedara the Vice Chairman.
He stressed that the group was about building effective partnerships, communication, and critical engagement, stressing that doing so was vital to achieving the necessary success, productivity, and good performance as a grassroots movement.
Other executive members are Assistant State Chairman (Lagos West), Abdulwasiu Atinsola; Assistant. State Chairman (Lagos Central), Anifowose Adeyinka; Assistant State Chairman (Lagos East), Toyin Phillips; State Secretary, Michael Oshilaja; Deputy State Secretary, Salaudeen Olawale; State Financial Secretary, Adebayo Kehinde, among others.
