Major floor outbreak in Fatoki area of Orile Agege, Lagos, reportedly sweeps away two moving vehicles with six occupants in them.
The victims were in two separate vehicles, one Lexus jeep and a Toyota car each carrying three persons when flood water overflowed uncompleted drainage and submerged their vehicles.
According to reports, four have been rescued while two persons declare missing.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and those from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) as well as those from the fire service are still searching for the two missing persons.
It was learned that “residents in the community reportedly warned the victims to desist from driving through the road, but they were adamant and continued till their vehicles were submerged in the flood.
According to residents at the scene, “one of the occupants of the Lexus jeep swam out of the vehicle while residents helped the other two people out.
