The deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Lagos State, Funke Akindele, said she’s eager to improve the poor health system in Lagos.
The Nollywood actress while speaking on Channel Television today stated that we shouldn’t focus on talking about bad road alone, but rather on how to improve the well-being of our people.
Noting that over two million children are out of school in Lagos.
She said, “As a Lagosian born out of Ikorodu, when asked to join Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) as his running mate for next year’s gubernatorial elections– the opportunity to help liberate and improve the welfare of our people could not be ignored.
She stressed that she has put her career aside and she’s ready to stand with Jandor in helping Lagosian, “Jandor has sacrificed a lot talking about young people passionately for over seven years to plan this project, abandoning his business to make a change in the state. So, I am going to put aside my career now, I am coming out for the women, the youth, we have talents in Nigeria, we need to explore what we have.
