Lagos revenue house ready in September – Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has assured that the Lagos Revenue House will be ready to use in September with the contractor putting finishing touches on the imposing edifice located in Alausa, the seat of government.

He made the disclosure in his twitter account on Monday, he said “I led an on-the-site inspection of the ongoing renovation work at the eight-storey building Lagos Revenue House with @drobafemihamzat and other state executive council members.

”Lagos Inland Revenue Service (LIRS) will occupy a substantial space in the building, while other agencies, including the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA) and Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LAASA) among others will share the rest of the space in the complex.

According to him “The importance of this Revenue House is that, it houses a good number of our core revenue-generating agencies. The whole idea of putting them in one office complex is for them to share facilities, synergies and improve on their individual capacity.

“More importantly, they will offer our citizens and organisations a one-stop shop to complete a lot of statutory transactions which include licence renewal, tenement rate, land assessment and general land administration issues, this is why I am interested to see how faster we can finish this project.” the governor said.

Sanwo-Olu also inspected the ongoing construction of a nine-floor multi-agency building being developed in front of the State Government Secretariat in Alausa.
