Lagos Socialite, Farida Sobowale explains why she tried to commit suicide by jumping into the lagoon on the third mainland bridge.

Farida the owner of the popular skincare brand House of Phareeda said her failed marriage, frustration, and many other things drove her to carry out her actions Thursday night August 17, 2023.

She stated in a voice note posted on her Instagram page that her marriage with another socialite, Demola had crashed under months after she spent over N100m on having a glamour wedding.

The socialite noted that Demola walked out of their marriage for his side chick, and she has been suicidal and frustrated since then.

She also stated that she was wanted by friends and family against going into the marriage that man was only after her money but she didn’t listen.

“Friends and families warned me not to go into the marriage. They told me that the man only wanted my money but I was recalcitrant.

“I am so sorry for putting my children in such a position. I would not have forgiven myself if I had abandoned them after committing suicide.

Meanwhile, Farida and her estranged hubby engaged in altercations, revealing shocking family secrets on social media, attacking themselves, and calling themselves unprintable names.
