The Lagos State Government has requested to partner with stakeholders  in order to improve corporate governance and sustainability among its agencies.

On Friday, Adetutu Ososanya, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Government Parastatals Monitoring Office, made the call on a one-day workshop arranged for heads of parastatals, agencies, and government-owned companies held at Alausa with the theme ‘The power of synergy’.

She stated that encouraging cooperation between parastatals and government-owned businesses would help to overcome obstacles and leverage resources, adding that synergy was a development and success catalyst, not just an idea.

She said, “This theme underscores the crucial role collaboration plays in driving progress and achieving our collective goals. Synergy, the harmonious integration of diverse elements, is not merely a concept but a catalyst for growth and success.

“By fostering collaboration among parastatals, agencies, and government-owned companies, we can leverage our combined strengths, resources, and expertise to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.

“As heads of our respective organisations, it is incumbent upon us to embrace synergy as a guiding principle in our work. By working together seamlessly, we can optimise efficiency, minimise redundancy, and maximise the impact of our initiatives”.

Ope Amusan, the Managing Director of Nisrel Consulting, also spoke at the event, stating that disputes were bound to happen among individuals, but growth could be achieved when individuals work collectively.

However, Rasheed Muri-Okunola, the MD, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency, noted that partnering with other organisations would improve the Lagos State government administration.
