The management team of later singer Mohbad has filed a defamation suit against his father, Joseph Aloba.
Recall that some days back, it was reported that Mohbad’s father had raised concerns about the will of his late son. He questions how a 26-year-old could have done a thumb printed will.
He also stated his distrust in the will at how his son, who was well educated could do a thumbprinted will, rather than sign it.
He went on to challenge the said will, stating that he believes the document was doctored and is fake. He also pointed out how a lawyer was present at Mohbad’s house, and not even a doctor when the news of his death broke out.
Reacting to his claims, his management debunked reports of a will. His management made it known that there is no will, neither is there a thumb printed document, and urged his father and others to refrain from sharing false and misleading statements.
However, it seems the statement was not enough warning as they have sued the clergyman for defamation of character and demanding he withdraw his slanderous statement or risk paying N200 million. In the lawsuit, Mohbad’s management reiterated that no will was presented to his father and that the claims by his father were to draw in public sentiments.
