LP chairman targets two million votes for Obi in Nasarawa

The Labour Party (LP) Chairman in Nasarawa State said it is targeting two million votes for its presidential candidate, Peter Obi ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The party chairman, Alexander Emmanuel disclosed this in Karu Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, while receiving 27,000 decamed members of the APC, PDP and the APGA in the labour party.

He said, “These 27,000 decampees from the APC, PDP and APGA have come to declare support for our presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi and other candidates of Labour party in Nasarawa state because the political parties in authority have failed us in all aspects of the economy.

“Universities have been closed for over seven months now and there is no commitment from the Federal Government to address the issue. There is insecurity and unemployment everywhere in the country, that is why we need to elect competent leaders into office in the coming elections.

“As soon as INEC lifts the ban on campaigns, we are going to begin a door-to-door campaign for our candidates across the state because we are targeting 2 million votes for Peter Obi in Nasarawa state and we will work hard towards ensuring victory for all our candidates,” Emmanuel added.
