Man arrested for killing someone during a fight over his girlfriend in Adamawa

Adamawa state police command have arrested a 22-year-old man identified as Benedict Musa Haziel for killing Luka, during a quarrel over his girlfriend Blessing.

Benedict Musa was said to have warned the deceased on several occasions to stop going out with his girlfriend, but Luka refused to take the warning, and instead, he kept on going out with her which angered Musa.

Wakadaily gathered that, the Soon-to-be pastor had paid N15, 000 to Blessing’s family as an indication that he wanted to marry her. the suspect who was planning to attend a theology school, said on August 18, he tracked Blessing to Luka’s residence and found her there. A quarrel ensued between him and Luka which he used a knife to stab him in the buttocks. sadly, Luka died from the bleeding.

According to the suspect, ”I warned him to stay away from my fiancee because we are planning to get married. So, on that fateful night, I trailed her to the residence of Luka, with an intention of taking her to her parents. He engaged me in a serious fight on my arrival at their residence. I mistakenly used a knife in my possession and stabbed him in the buttocks. It was not my intention to kill him.”
