Man arrested for stealing N7m cattle in Gomba

Gombe State Police has arrested, Sale Kabo of Bandila village in Gulani Local Government Area of Yobe State for stealing cattle estimated at N7 million.

The 30-years-old allegedly stole 21 cattle belonging to one Jauro Ahmadu, 75, of Shuwari village via Bajoga in Funakaye Local Council.

The Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, said Ahmadu told him his 21 cattle valued at N7 million had been stolen from his village at night.

According to the Police PRO, the Divisional Police Officer said, “After conducting a thorough investigation, Sale Kabo was arrested in connection with the theft which he confessed. All the stolen cows and other relevant exhibits were recovered.

“The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged in court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”

Also, the Command arrested a 20-year-old auto mechanic, Babangida Isa, for allegedly defiling a five-year-old girl in Gombe.

The girl’s 7-year-old elder brother who caught the rapist pants-down, however, ran home to alert his parents.

The police spokesperson who confirmed the incident to journalists said: “On June 6, 2023, at about 5:00p.m., one Yahaya Isah of Bajoga Police division reported that Babangida Isah lured his five-year-old daughter to one Almajiri school and forcefully abused her sexually.”
