Married man slump in court over his inability to pay sex worker after sleeping with her

There was a mild drama at the Ejigbo Magistrates Court in Lagos State after a married man, identified as Talabi Oluwaseyi Samuel, slumped as he was arraigned over his inability to pay N70,000 debt.

According to the report, Samuel was heard saying that the hotel management has exposed his adulterous life as his wife would know he had been cheating on her over the years.

He was said to have taken a lady, Becky Alaneme, to Mayoral Hotel located at Unity Estate in Idimu, lodged with her for days without paying both her service charge and the hotel bills.

He was arrested after he tried to escape and subsequently detained over his inability to settle the bills, which amounts to over N70,000.

After the police fruitlessly tried to get him to settle the bills, he was taken to the Court to be arraigned for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace.

However, drama ensued when the bus, which brought him to the Court was about the drop him, he shouted and fainted inside the Courtroom.

He was on the floor of the Court room for several minutes when the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. K.A. Ariyo, came to sit and ordered his remand in Police custody pending when he will be ready to be arraigned for the alleged offence.

Police sources disclosed that even at that point, Samuel had refused to contact members of his family especially his wife, who he claimed trusted him so much and declined informing her because of the disgrace.
