Fans of May Edochie, who is the former spouse of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, have flooded the streaming service Prime Video with negative feedback for Yvonne Jegede’s film.
Wakadaily reported that Yvonne caused a lot of anger when she defended Yul Edochie for marrying a second wife and slammed those who were slamming him and praising Regina Daniels in a podcast interview.
Many social media users were upset by her statement and blasted her for being insensitive and disregarding May Edochie’s feelings.
After receiving backlash, Yvonne apologized to her fans and May, admitting that she didn’t express her intentions properly and acknowledged the pain and difficulties May experienced during her marriage.
Unfortunately, her apology didn’t satisfy many people, especially fans of May Edochie, who then went to Prime Video to leave negative reviews for Yvonne Jegede’s movie, A Father’s Love.

Angela Okorie blasted Yvonne for her apology, calling her an unsuccessful actress without a respectable background.
She accused Yvonne of being insensitive to another woman’s pain and accused her and her public relations team of spreading false information about her being mentally unstable for their own gain.
Rita Edochie also expressed her disappointment in Yvonne’s statement. She pointed out how people on social media insult others and then ask for forgiveness insincerely.
Emeka Ugwuonye, May’s lawyer, added to the conversation by revealing that Yul does not financially support their children or pay for their education.
He claimed that May takes care of their three children and that Yul told their daughter to rely on her mother for financial support since she earns more money than him.
In response to the news, fans and supporters of the entrepreneur called for a GoFundMe account to be created to help her pay for her children’s school fees.
