Mbah appoint CEO, commissioners for Enugu electricity regulatory agency

The Enugu state Governor, Peter Mbah has passed the name of Mr. Chijioke Okonkwo, to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as the Chief Executive Officer of the Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Also, the names of Mr Chinedum Ukabara, Mr Chuka Akunne, and Mr Ruben Okoye were also passed to the assembly for confirmation as commissioners in the project.

Their names were written in a letter forwarded to the House, which was read during the house emergency plenary  by the speaker, Chief Uche Ugwu on Monday.

The speaker then directed the nominees to submit 25 copies of their curriculum vitae to the clerk of the House and appear before the Assembly on Wednesday, 13 March, 2024 for screening and confirmation.

At the event, the House passed for the first reading, the Enugu State University of Science and Technology Amendment Bill.

The Speaker encouraged his colleagues to study the bill for a strong debate during its second reading on a later date.
