Nigerian rapper, record producer Jude Lamfani Abaga, popularly known as MI has announced plans to change stage name as he prepares to release a new album soon.
The award-winning artist posted on his verified Twitter page on Thursday, noting the reasons to drop his 15-year-old stage name, because his forthcoming album deserves to be released under a new name that reflects it.
He further stated that his last performance as (MI Abaga) would be on 10th July 2022 as he celebrates his legacy as Africa’s greatest rapper.
The tweet read, “After over 15 Years as Mister Incredible, I will be retiring the name ‘MI Abaga’ and taking on a new name for a new project because my new project is hard AF and deserves a new name.”
“My final act as MI will be a performance at The Vibe on the 10th of July, where I will celebrate my legacy as Africa’s Greatest Rapper. See you all on stage.”
