The certification was to honor him for his exceptional talent as an actor, producer, and director. The award organizers stated his commitment to enhancing the community and the Nigerian entertainment industry through his creative work.

It was reported last week that while at the airport to board Canada, his wife, Mide Martins, broke down in tears to celebrate his success. The video captured the emotional but sweet moment Mide saw her husband off at the airport, where they kissed and found it difficult to separate from each other. While shedding tears, Mide wished her husband progress and a pleasant stay, she expressed how much she had missed him.
While in Canada, Afeez opened up about how he found peace. He shared a photo of himself and some of his colleagues as he disclosed that he found peace when he consoled himself that things don’t just happen. They happen for a purpose. He also consoled himself by saying that there is time for everything.
