Inibehe Effiong, a human rights lawyer, has urged upcoming entertainers to work with lawyers for their career and personal success.
According to Effiong, anyone who work in the entertainment industry or any related business that do not have a lawyer are taking a significant risk that could result in irreparable damage.
The human rights activist stated this via his official X page (formerly known as Twitter.
His words: “As an upcoming artist, you should have and retain a lawyer as an integral part of your career.
“If you’re into entertainment or any business for that matter, and you do not have a lawyer, you’re taking a huge risk that may cost you irreparable loss. This advice has saved lives.”
Inibehe Effiong stated this few days after Popular Nigerian rapper and singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad passed away.
Following the death of Mohbad, various videos has has emerged with a lot of controversy surrounding the young talented artists death.
One of the video captured relatives of the deceased trying to seize the late singer’s properties from his wife, Omowunmi.
An elderly man was heard saying, “The unfortunate incident has happened, and there’s nothing we can do about it.
“However, this should be a lesson for everyone present here. You have to stay focused and don’t trust the wife; may God comfort you all,” the man said.
In another video, a woman was captured accusing the late singer’s wife of poor burial arrangements.
“This is to show the world what the wife did; that’s the reason we brought him here. For someone who used gold jewelry (when he was alive), see where he was buried,” she added.
The deceased was laid to rest in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State on Wednesday.
