Movie Review: The Kujus again ; An exhausting Movie?
Sincerely speaking Don Jazzy is Many things in this life but you see acting, that was never his calling.
The Kujus Again is a movie directed by the almighty Biodun Stephen and features a lot of stellar cast like kunle Remi, Timini Egbuson, Bimbo Ademoye and other amazing set of people.
The story revolves around the Kuju Family as they gather in a hotel resort for the traditional marriage of Mauyon (Kunle Remi) and Lily (Sophie Alakija) but things go unplanned as a huge amount of money and some people start missing. Typically from this you would be thinking that’s going to be a great movie because the story line is cool but No!!!! It was far from that, this movie was so inconsistent , I just had to take a break because , my eyes were starting to bleed from watching nonsense, the producers just gathered a bunch of Cast that we loved and gave them scripts to be shouting at each other’s face.
The movie lacked emotional depth and they were trying so hard to force it on us but that feeling was not just there.
As For the Cast , Timini Egbuson who is always typecasted , so you know his playing the spoilt last born as usual , and Don Jazzy , I don’t know but each scene I saw him on was as tho I was watching a primary school Stage play, though get me in context , Don jazzy gave his best but I felt he could do better . And the other cast , well they were so inconsistent and gave us something fair enough , it wasn’t their fault tho,it’s just the result of what we see when we have great Talents and A messed up Script.
IMBD is rating this movie 8.5/10 and I’m like how? This movie just doesn’t live up to those standards and Biodun Stephen I sincerely expected more but I was highly disappointed. I would say that this movie was riding on the horses of Film Mediocracy.
They tried using the popular Talents to push the movie but sorry we won’t fall for that.
I would honestly give the movie a 3/10. Next time if they don’t have a good script they should all Rest and not bother inflicting us movie lovers with Lackluster Scripts.
