Early Life & Education

Mpho Khati was born on 3rd March 1994 in the Free State of  Odendaalsrus.

She was born into a family of three girls, and she is second-born among her siblings.

She had her elementary education at Khotsong Primary school in Odendaalsrus Kutlwanong where she did her Grades 1 – 7, While she attended her secondary education at Ed-u collage Welkom.

Mpho Khati bags a degree in Human and Societal Dynamics at the University of Free State Bloemfontein.

Career

Mpho Khati spoke about her career in an interview with the news 24. This is what she said about her career; a leader indeed. I have held several leadership positions since my stay here at the University of Free State. I have been in the Branch Executive committee (BEC) of SASCO for two terms and in the Branch Executive Committee of ANCYL in the Solomon Mahlangu branch.

I was also in the Student Representative Council (SRC) in the term 2014/15 where I was an SRC First Generation student and the first year. I am currently doing y second term in the SRC as the Vice-President of the students in the term 2015/16. I have served on various committees of my organization as well.

My style is very African but with a modern twist to it. I am a proud African woman, proud of my heritage and roots and I try to demonstrate that in my style. I’m also very creative so I sometimes combine different styles together in one outfit and it works for me. I would sometimes wear my doeks with sportswear and it looks nice. My style is African-inspired.
