N55m Benz stolen during test-drive in Abuja found in Delta

A N55 million Mercedes Benz GLB 250, which was stolen in Abuja, during a test drive has been found in Delta State.

The photo of Henry who reportedly abscond with the vehicle has suffered online after he was declared wanted by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

Wakadaily reported days back, that a car dealer, Mohammed Manga told journalists that a friend who is also into car dealing, visited his office in the Federal Capital Territory requesting to take the Benz worth over N55 million to a potential customer interested in purchasing it.

After taking the vehicle to the customer who introduced himself simply as Henry, Mohammed said his friend told him that after negotiations, Henry requested a test drive and was accompanied by his friend.

“But immediately my friend stepped out of the car at the filling station to withdraw money from the PoS operator to buy fuel, the guy zoomed off with the vehicle. You know how it is, there’s no traffic, no hold up in Abuja and that’s how he absconded with the car.”

In a recent development, an auto dealer via its Twitter page shared a photo of the alleged thief and a video of the car.

The post read: “Alhamdulillah its OFFICIA. The Stolen Car (MERCEDES BENZ GLB-250, 2021 MODEL) Was found today 4th July, 2023 in NIGER DELTA (ASABA)!”

The SUV was found in Asaba but the thief is still on the run.
