Israel DMW, the personal logistics manager of the renowned music artist Davido, has responded to the news of Cubana Chief Priest’s release.
On his Instagram page, Israel posted pictures of himself and the businessman in court and reflected on the unpredictable nature of life.
He said that Cubana Chief Priest has been granted bail, and he expressed his gratitude to God for this outcome.
“Names are different in life. Bail fully granted. Bless you God Almighty”.
Cubana said in a comment on his post that he was originally scheduled to be in New York today.
“Me wey suppose dey New York like this”.
Wakadaily reported this morning that Chief Priest was brought before the EFCC for the offense of damaging the Nigerian currency, among other charges.
According to reports from Channels Television, the EFCC has filed three charges against the businessman for spraying and tampering with the naira at a social event, which goes against the Central Bank Act of 2007.
Pascal appeared in front of Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court in Lagos and pleaded not guilty to the charges of mishandling the currency. He was granted bail in the amount of N10 million.
After his release, Cubana Chief Priest shared a photo of himself and expressed gratitude to those who had been checking on him since his arrest. He stated that their messages and love had humbled him. He also boasted about his fame and claimed that money is easily obtained.
In the comments section, celebrities such as Davido, Mercy Eke, IK Ogbonna, Isreal DMW, and others left messages for him.
Cubana has had previous encounters with the EFCC before. In 2022, he was apprehended for offenses involving money laundering and tax evasion.
He was held by the authorities for several days, including his birthday. Nevertheless, he was released on Monday, April 4th, 2022, to the delight of his supporters, admirers, acquaintances, and romantic partners.
Davido, among other celebrities, celebrated his release and referred to him as his closest companion.
