Social media users are not accepting Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede’s public apology to May Edochie, the estranged wife of Yul Edochie.

Yvonne Jegede defended Yul Edochie for marrying a second wife in an interview on the Honest Bunch podcast, which upset many social media users who slammed her for being insensitive towards May Edochie’s pain.

After receiving backlash, Yvonne Jegede apologized to her fans and May, admitting that she did not express her intentions properly and acknowledging May’s struggles during her marriage.

However, Nigerians were not satisfied with her apology as they noticed that she had reiterated her previous statements during the podcast.

Gossip With Facts commented, “Even when people were dragging her after the podcast. She was running her mouth in the comment section and laughing even. This woman is just somehow”.

One, Big Bella commented, “She clearly said, ‘They will come for me’, which means she knows what she was saying”.

Another person, 49fiee commented, “She wasn’t misquoted. We’ve seen the video evidence”.

And, Fhavour Anderson commented, “You go explain tire”.

Also, Zehmee commented, “She should rest”.

One, Oseun Abiodun commented, “She received fire. Don’t joke with Queen May”.

Mick n Dovie commented, “Good. May nation show her Shege, why will she take someone pian as a joke”.

It is common knowledge that Yul Edochie impregnated his younger colleague, Judy Austin, and married her without the support of his family and the approval of his first wife.

He attempted to make his first wife, May Edochie, accept polygamy, but she refused and eventually filed for divorce, seeking N100m in damages.

Despite these circumstances, the actor remains unaffected. Recently, he addressed his critics and expressed his thoughts on people’s opinions of him.

He stated that despite being consistently blasted for over 2 years, he is still succeeding and doing better than most of his peers. He also stated that he does not let the hateful comments affect him.
