Nicki Minaj was Born on December 8, 1982, in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago although she relocated with her family to Queens, New York, when she was five years of age.

Robert Maraj, her father was a heavy drug addict with a long history of violence which, at some point, set fire to the family’s home in a failed attempt to kill Minaj’s mother, Carol Maraj.

Before the name “Nicki Minaj” came to fame, she bore different personas like “Cookie” and “Harajuku Barbie“.
