NSCDC seeks information about parents of a boy found wandering in osun

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Osun state Command has seek information from members of the public concerning the parents or relatives of a young boy found wandering around the Owede- Ede Area of the state.

The spokesperson of the Command, Kehinde Adeleke in a statement obtained in Osogbo said the toddler whose age has not been discovered but close to two years, was found roaming  by a man returning from church in the early hours of Saturday.

The boy was taken to the Palace of Olu of Owode-Ede, where citizens looking for their missing children were asked to come forward to claim him.

She said since no one had showed up to claim the boy at the Palace, the Command will take him into custody.

However, she called on the citizens looking for a missing child to proceed to the state headquarters of the Command with their evidence.

The Statement read, “A boy whose age cannot be ascertained but close to 2 years was found in Owode-Ede Area on Saturday 24/2/2024 by a man coming from a night vigil around 5:10am and was taken to a central mosque in the area for announcement.

“Anyone whose child is missing should come to NSCDC, Ido Osun, with valid evidence.”

“The boy is now in the custody of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command, Ido Osun, Osun State.

“He was also taken to Owode Ede’s palace for whoever was looking for a missing child to identify and claim him, but nobody has shown up yet.”
