Omah Stanley Didia (born May 19th, 1997) known professionally as Omah Lay is a Port Harcourt-born Nigerian singer, producer, and songwriter. He is signed under KeyQaad and Sire Records; a subsidiary of Warner Music Group and released his first debut studio EP “Get Layd.”

He is known professionally as Omah Lay. Starting off as a rapper, he has grown into an A-list singer, songwriter, and record producer whose influence spread across Africa.
He broke into the music industry with his debut song, You, Bad influence which was the most streamed and trends song of the year 2020. He won the Next Rated Artist Award at the 14th Headies Music Awards in 2021.

Early Life
Omah Lay is from Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State. He attended Comprehensive High School in Rivers State before proceeding to the University of Port Harcourt. He comes from a musical family and his grandfather played instruments for the singer Celestine Ukwu before he died in 1977 in Port Harcourt. Omah Lay’s father played the drums.
Omah Lay started out in a rap group under the stage name “Lil King.” He later moved on to songwriting and music producing, which went largely uncredited, and as a result of that, he released “Do Not Disturb” in April 2019. “Hello Brother” was released a month after. By then he had rebranded and settled on the stage name – Omah Lay.
Education
Coming from a loving but disciplined family, Omah Lay attended Comprehensive High School in Rivers State before proceeding to the University of Port Harcourt.
Career
Omah Lay began work in earnest to make music that his growing fan base would love and vibe with. He has to move from port Harcourt to Lagos.
In December 2020, he was nominated for the Next Rated Artist Award at the 14th Headies Music Awards. He beat other top contenders, Bella Shmurda, Tems, and Oxlade to clinch the award in 2021. As part of his gift prize, he went home with a brand-new car.
Before the close of 2020, he dominated the music airwaves for weeks with his second EP project titled What Have We Done.
Omah Lay release his third studio album “Boy Alone” on 15th July 2022.
