Nollywood Star Omotunde Adebowale, better known as Adaku, discussed the entire situation involving the late Aderounmu Adejumoke in a one-on-one interview.
Adaku began by stating that, Adejumoke had stayed at her house for five days after her movie premiere. She implied that she knows about some troubling experiences that Adejumoke had during her stay, but she cannot openly disclose them.
She also pointed out that, if the late actress had received love and support from her family, as they claimed, certain unfortunate events would not have occurred.
Adaku further said that, she had a conversation with Adejumoke last year, during which the actress seemed emotionally unstable. Adejumoke went on a rant, expressing her intention to call out her fellow actors for not caring about her.
Adaku admitted feeling confused by Adejumoke’s statements and had to inquire about her well-being. It was at that moment that she realized Adejumoke’s actions were a plea for help.
Adejumoke’s family was affected by an unintended bullet when Adaku pointed out that instead of criticizing Funke Akindele for not assisting the deceased actress, they should have recognized that it was their duty to do so.
Adaku shared a personal experience where her elder sister travels from London to Nigeria to support her whenever she feels depressed.
The main point of Adaku’s conversation was that Funke Akindele was not obligated to do anything for the late Adejumoke, and that her family should have taken care of her.
After Adejumoke’s death, her brother expressed anger towards Funke Akindele for pretending to care by mourning his sister on social media. This resulted in a wave of insults towards Funke Akindele from internet users.
