Ahead of the Edo State governorship poll, the All Progressives Congress has released a list of 256-member State Campaign Council.
The campaign council is headed by Adams Oshiomhole, the former governor, now the senator representing Edo North at the National Assembly.
Acting Chairman Jarrett Tenebe, in a statement on Wednesday in Benin City, announced Senator Matthew Urhoghide as the Campaign Council Director-General and Mr Joe Ugheoke as Campaign Council Secretary.
A member of the House of Representatives, Peter Akpatason, was named the Deputy Director-General of Operations while Mike Onolememen was named the Deputy Director-General of Administration.
Chief Lucky Imasuen, Odi Okogie and Abu Lawani are Coordinators for Edo South, Edo Central and Edo North, respectively. The Campaign Council also has Mr Bisi Idaomi as Director of Administration, John Osakue as Director of Operations, while Samson Osagie is the Director of Contacts,” Mr Tenebe said.
Although the inauguration date for the 256-member Campaign Council had not yet been set, Tenebe said, “The composition of the council reflects a meticulous effort to ensure comprehensive representation of APC’s diverse and dedicated members.”
