‘People tackle me when I try to back them up’ – Isabel speak about her parents portrayal on Netflix young, Famous & African

Isabella Idibia, the daughter of the famous singer 2face and actress Annie Idibia, has expressed her frustration with the way her parents were portrayed on the reality show “Young, Famous and African” on Netflix.

In a Q&A video on her YouTube channel, she shared her sadness about the inaccurate portrayal of her parents and the fact that people dismiss her defense of them because of her young age.

Isabella pointed out that these people are not part of her family and only rely on social media for information about her parents’ marriage.

She acknowledged that she cannot change everyone’s perspective, as people on social media will always believe what they want to believe. However, she emphasized that the stories are false and that her parents were not portrayed in the best light.

“I don’t like the way my parents were portrayed in Young, Famous and African. They were portrayed so wrong. Whenever I try to back them up, people would be like that’s not what happened. You guys aren’t in my family, your knowledge is based on what you see on social media. I know it because I have been in the house with my parents, and I can’t change everyone’s perspective. People on social media will always think whatever they want to think, but honestly, they would never know the actual true story. They weren’t given the best image and it wasn’t accurate”.

Remember that while they were on the reality show, the couple gained a lot of attention for their troubled marriage. In a particular episode of Season 1, Annie Idibia became emotional and cried as she talked about feeling embarrassed by the fact that her husband has five children with two different women.

She stated that she had met 2face before any other woman, which is why she takes everything so personally and feels a strong connection with him. Sadly, she has experienced numerous humiliations and embarrassments, and she constantly wonders how 2face could make the same mistake again.

In a different episode, she implored Nigerians to refrain from examining her marriage and asked critics to give her marriage some space.

She said that numerous individuals are anticipating and praying for the actress to share her marital issues online, which has made her doubtful of her close circle of friends.

To make matters worse, 2face on the show had angered many by justifying infidelity, stating that a man can love a woman and still cheat on her due to his sexual desires.
