Nollywood veteran actor, Pete Edochie speaks on his stands on polygamy, stating that he is not against it.

This revelation was made known in a video that is been released in series of an interview he had media personnel Chude Jideonwo.

Pete Edochie was asked what his stands on polygamy were and he replied that he does not condemn it, when asked why he didn’t take a second wife himself, the legendary actor answered that he didn’t have a need for that, because his wife already gave him five sons.

“The people who take second wives know best why they take second wives. I don’t have any need for a second wife. For me, I mean I have a wife who has given me five sons, what am I going to look for a second wife for? No it’s not necessary. I will not condemn polygamy, no, because people have their reasons for what they do, right.”

He also went ahead to cite an example to collaborate with his answer, he stated that he knew of a man who got a second wife because he was been denied intimacy by his first wife, noting that there was a good reason for the man to take another wife.

“One day, the man just left the house, came back with this woman and 3 sons, ‘This is my second wife o, so you have to cope with it,” he said.

Pete Edochie has been happily married to his wife for 53 years and their union has been blessed with six children.
