Peter Obi hails hotel’s staff who returned misplaced $70,000 to customer

The Labour Party presidential candidate in the February 25th election, Peter Obi has hailed a staff of Eko Hotel and Suites, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, who returned misplaced N56 million naira ($70,000) to a customer in Lagos.

In a remarkable display of honesty and integrity, Ngozi returned over N56 million that was left behind by a guest.

It was gathered that a guest who pleaded anonymous left a bag behind containing the huge sum of money in one of the room, upon discovering it, the staff immediately informed the hotel management.

According to the General Manager of Eko Hotel and Suites, Danny Kioupouroglou, ”this incident is a testament to the honesty and integrity of our staff.

“At Eko Hotel and Suites, we pride ourselves on our commitment to ethical conduct and exceptional customer service. We believe that our staff are our greatest asset, and this incident is a testament to that belief.”

Celebrating her for the display of honesty and integrity despite the hardship in the country, Peter Obi said Ngozi deserve to be given national honours.

He said, “It is heartwarming and reassuring that despite the hardship in the country and the prevailing moral decadence in society, a staff of Eko Hotel and Suites, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, was reported to have returned a misplaced sum of $70,000 to a customer of the hotel in Lagos.

When will Nigeria start celebrating the likes of Miss Ngozi Mary for her honesty and integrity, Teacher Akeem Badru, for winning the 2023 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Award, and many others like them?

These are the people who deserve to be given national honours and awards and recognition, instead of celebrating those who have impacted our nation negatively. In the New Nigeria that we desire, these are the kind of people that will be celebrated. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO.”
