Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye one half of the musical group Psquare, cries out over impersonation and threatens to sue Polaris and Access bank.
Last year the singer had cried out over this same thing as he warned his fans to beware of online fraudsters using his name to scam people.
Peter okoye runs a lottery program under his name Peter Psquare and many fraudsters have size this opportunity to impersonate him and scam people with his name.
The angry Peter took to his instagram page and official X handle on Wednesday to address this issue, he expressed his frustration, while questioning the two banks why they would allow anyone to open an account with his name without proper identification.
Sharing pictures of transactions done with the banks, he threatened a lawsuit against them for damages and promised to call out more banks involved in this act.
He tweeted: “Enough is enough. It’s either an inside job or otherwise. I have a name to protect here and save some of these innocent victims. So get ready for me and my legal team.
“How can @polarisbankltd and @myaccessbank allow someone to open an account in the name of “PETER OKOYE PSQUARE” without valid means of identification, no BVN, no biometrics, no verified address or even utility bill to correspond with the address of the account owner. Now they are using my name to scam innocent people. I’m suing this bank for damages @officialefcc take note.”
