Police arrest Adegheji who killed his girlfriend over iPhone

The Police Operatives in Delta State have arrested a 23-years-old man, who allegedly killed his girlfriend, identified as Gift Oloku, a student of Delta State polytechnic, Ozoro, to death for breaking his iPhone 11 pro max screen during a fight on Saturday.

Wakadaily gathered that Godspower Adegheji, and the deceased Gift cohabited and had a baby girl together, unfortunately they had a misunderstanding which resulted to a fight, the incident happened at Ozoro, North Local Government Area of the state.

Reports have it that the “lady had gone out and when she returned home, the boyfriend demanded to know where she was coming from, he was said to have accused her of infidelity.

“In the process, a fight broke out, and the girl mistakenly destroyed the screen of his iPhone 11 Pro Max mobile phone, and that was how he attacked her with a cutlass, the lady was taken to the hospital “where she was confirmed dead,” the source stated.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, confirmed that the suspect has been arrested.

The officer wrote, “This is Godspower Adegheji of Etevie quarters Ozoro, age 23yrs, he killed his girlfriend Gift Oloku ‘f’ aged 22yrs in ozoro using a machete after she mistakenly broke his iPhone 11pro max while they were fighting cos she went out without telling him. He has been arrested.”
