Habeeb Okikiola, a famous street musician better known as Portable, is currently being held by the police because he did not meet the requirements for bail.
It was previously reported that he was arrested for allegedly not paying off a debt of N14 million that he owed to a car dealer in Lagos State, which was for purchasing a G-Wagon.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hudenyin, stated that Portable will remain in custody until he can provide a trustworthy person to act as a guarantor for his bail.
He said, “He has presented no reliable surety yet so Portable is still with us”.
Recall that portable Was apprehended by the Lagos state police command on Tuesday.
The arrest was made due to allegations that Portable had not paid off the debt he owed to a car dealer after buying his G-Wagon.
The vocalist was taken into custody after he failed to settle the remaining N14 million of the N27 million he owed for a G-Wagon vehicle he bought from a car dealership.
It was reported that he had only paid N13 million and declined to pay the remaining N14 million.
