Nigerian singer Portable, known for his controversial nature, has clarified the situation regarding his collaboration with Dammy Krane, who is seen as a rival to Davido.
Portable took to Instagram to clarify that he did not insult Dammy Krane, but rather was featured on a song with him.
However, Portable accused Dammy of not paying him for the feature, claiming that he was taken advantage of.
He pleaded with those trying to create dispute between him and Davido not to ruin their relationship, as he sees Davido as someone who has helped him in his music career.
“Me and anybody no sing to insult Davido. That’s how I was with Davido and people called him saying I sang with Dammy Krane to insult him. Na him feature me oo and he didn’t even give me feature money. He rip me. So abeg o, no allow my helper run from me because of you”.
This comes just a few hours after Davido fulfilled Portable’s wish by taking him out to dinner at a fancy restaurant in Atlanta.
Davido even went above and beyond by giving Portable a luxury sneaker and other gifts.
To remind you, last year Portable shocked many when he joined forces with Davido’s rival, Dammy Krane, to insult the singer in a song.
They even shared a video of themselves in the studio recording the track, which clearly took aim at Davido.
This collaboration didn’t sit well with a lot of people, especially since Portable had previously asked Davido for a collaboration and Davido had agreed.
In a surprising turn of events, Portable had a change of heart and switched back to supporting Davido.
He warned Dammy to stop using their song to slam Davido, acknowledging that the award-winning singer has been a great help to him.
Portable advised Dammy to confront Davido directly if he had any issues with him and slammed him for constantly dissing the singer who had once been his benefactor.
Portable’s relationship with Davido has been turbulent over the years. In 2022, they had a falling out when Portable supported Davido’s uncle’s political rival.
Portable had backed Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while Davido supported his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who eventually won the election.
Davido was angered by Portable’s actions and unfollowed him on Instagram.
Portable blast Davido for this, but their feud didn’t last long. Davido reconciled with Portable after he publicly apologized and re-followed him.
