Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi Simple and the mother of Portable’s fourth child, has exposed a fraudster.

She posted on her Instagram account, sharing screenshots of her conversations with the scammer who was impersonating her to deceive others.

In the conversation, the scammer insulted her for reporting their account and called her stingy.

They also mocked her for being a mistress and having multiple children from different fathers.

In the caption, she pleaded with her followers to report and block the account, expressing her disbelief at the situation. The actress, who is currently pregnant, even cursed the scammer.

To the person behind this account @mohsimple__ God will bring you down

Kindly report and block this account, this person is trying to use my name and picture to scam people

Thank you”.

Last year, actor Alesh Sanni placed a bid of N500k on a woman who he accused of scamming people by pretending to be his friend and using his pictures as her profile picture.

He had initially tried to resolve the issue privately but was surprised by her response.

In a later post, he expressed his sadness at how people were scamming each other despite the difficult situation in the country and made a threat.

In 2022, Peter Okoye raised concerns about online scammers using his name to deceive people on social media.

In response to a fan who asked for N500,000 before the end of the year, Mr. P of PSquare highlighted how such online begging contributes to the increase in internet fraud.

Similarly, Nigerian entrepreneur and businessman Obi Cubana reported that someone was scamming people using his name.

Cubana clarified that he does not have a Twitter account and someone had been impersonating him to deceive others.
