Reactions as Asake hails his colleague Davido for always checking up on him

Afrobeat artiste Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake has expressed his gratitude to his senior colleague, Davido for his constant support and love.

The musician took to his Instagram story to revealed how Davido has always been checking up on him. He noted that this is the reason why he remains “OBO.“

Asake wrote, “davido dey always check on me. OBO for a reason”.

Taking to his comment section, many suggested that Davido wants to feature the singer in his songs, that is why he is constantly checking up on him.

One year ago,  Davido explained how he was able to meet with Asaka to participate on his album, Timeless.

During a podcast, Davido disclosed how  Olamide Baddo, linked him up with Asake, as he rein praises on Olamide and spoke on the relationship they shared and how he responded to his messages without stressing him.

Davido also declared his love for Asake, and that made him to feature the singer on his album.

Previous year, the singer shut down the 002 Arena, London as he gave a fantastic and unremarkable performance.

His rise to popularity was the consent of Olamide, who jumped on one of his songs and made him a signee under the YBNL record label.

Talking about  Olamide’s influence on him, Asake revealed how a phone call from Olamide changed his  music career. Since then, the singer’s career has continued to increase.

A year ago, the singer alongside Davido, Ayra Starr, and Burna Boy, were nominated for the Grammy Awards, but fortunately, they all lost their nominations.

At the 16th edition of Headies Awards in 2023, he became the first Artist to win the Next Rated and Album of the Year on the same night. To add to it, he joined Simi, Asa, and Kizz Daniel who have won the Headies Album of the Year with their debut albums.
