Rental businesses show concerns over impact of rising shipping cost

The Rental Professionals Society of Nigeria (RPSN) has expressed concerns about how rising shipping costs are affecting the event rentals business in Nigeria. At the recent RPSN Expo/Conference 1.0, themed “Rent, Relax and Repeat,” RPSN President Mrs. Taiwo Oderinlo highlighted that the government should focus on the shipping industry.

She pointed out that the high shipping costs, similar to the rising cost of living, are impacting all businesses, particularly rentals. Oderinlo urged the government to implement policies to curb the increasing costs of doing business and to address issues related to the exchange rate.

During the conference, RPSN worked on enhancing members’ skills to find innovative solutions to global business challenges. An insurance firm educated members on the importance of insuring their businesses, and banking experts provided insights into financial products available to help them grow their businesses.

The first RPSN exhibition featured manufacturers from China and other parts of Africa, who showcased their products, shared business experiences, and discussed future plans.
