Sanwo-Olu to receive special recognition

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Governor, is likely to receive the highest honour, at this year’s Almond Insurance Industry Awards and Consumers’ Nite.

A statement from the organisers of the award on Friday, signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Almond Productions Limited, Ms Faith Ughwode, said Lagos State had over the years blazed the trail in terms of supporting the insurance and pensions industry through annual budgetary allocations for the payment of premiums and pensions.

Ughwode said “It takes a visionary leader to continue and improve on existing systems. Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu embodies vision and progress and we are glad to have him shine at the Awards this year.”

The 2024 Awards tagged #Reinvent Edition will see winners emerge in 10 categories, including Life Insurance Company of the Year, General Insurance Company of the Year, Insurance CEO of the Year, Insurance Broker of the Year and Insurance Broking Company of the Year.

Others are Takaful Insurance Company of the Year, Micro Insurance Company of the Year, Insurance Woman of the Year, Most Valuable Insurance Customer of the Year and Insurance Life Achiever’s Award (Insurer or Broker).
