DJ Cuppy appears to be following the footsteps of Eniola Badmus, Warri Pikin, Teni, and others who have chosen to slim down their curvaceous bodies.
In 2022, Eniola Badmus underwent gastric bypass surgery in Turkey and openly discussed the challenges she faced during her transformation.
Similarly, Warri Pikin surprised many with her new body last year and revealed that her weight loss journey was not an easy one, stating that her husband had influenced her decision.
Teni spoke about her body transformation last year and denied rumors of undergoing surgery to lose weight. She clarified that her new look was a result of weight loss and not surgery, contrary to popular belief. She shared that she had lost 75 pounds without any surgical intervention.
In the meantime, Monalisa Stephen, a body activist for plus-size individuals, expressed her frustration with being compared to others and their weight loss journeys. She emphasized that she does not want to be like them or lose weight like them. Asking her trolls to leave her alone, she defended her body and highlighted how false narratives are created when plus-size celebrities lose weight, suggesting that she is envious of their success.
