Nigerian singer and rapper, Skales, shared a story about a terrifying incident he had on the Lekki-Epe expressway where he almost caused the death of a girl.
He explained that while driving in the speed lane, a girl suddenly ran onto the expressway and he accidentally hit her.
Skales was shocked to see her body fly over and believed she had died.
In a state of confusion and panic, he stopped his car and sought help from people nearby to transport her to the hospital.
Thankfully, the girl was found to be alright after medical examination.
Skales took the opportunity to urge the government to address the issue of pedestrians crossing the expressway.
He said; “Just had one of the crãziest experiences in my life while driving in LEKKI-EPE expressway. A little girl ran into the Gaddamn expressway, and I was driving on the speed lane and hit her. I was so scared! I saw her body fly over! I thought she was gone, so I parked and asked folks around for help to get her in my car and go to the hospital. I was so confused! Thinking I have killed someone. THANK YOU, JESUS WE GOT HER TO THE HOSPITAL THEY CONFIRMED. She’ll be okay! I paid the bills and handed everything else to her parents, including some money. The government needs to do something about pedestrians Crossing the expressway. Oh my gosh, what a day my life is really a movie! Fuck!!”.
Actor Okiki Oshin expressed deep gratitude to God in 2022 for narrowly escaping death on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The vehicle he was in caught fire during a road accident, but he managed to survive.
In a video he shared, the actor thanked God for sparing his life, even though the vehicle continued to burn despite the efforts of firefighters.
Gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan also survived a car crash on the same road, with only minor injuries to a crew member.
The late Sammie Okposo celebrated the singer’s survival, acknowledging that the accident could have been fatal.
