Femi Adebayo’s wife, Aduke, who is an award-winning filmmaker, has expressed her frustration with certain individuals who give her unsolicited and unhelpful advice through direct messages.
Aduke has blasted these people for their hypocritical behavior and urged them to stop advising her to remain calm, stating that she will continue to handle situations the way she did with actress Dayo Amusa.
Aduke, who is also a food vendor, clarified that her recent outburst was in support of her husband, who faced public criticism from a colleague.
She emphasized that the issue should have been resolved amicably between the parties involved. Aduke further stated that she will continue to block those who try to persuade her to step back from her husband’s disputes with his colleagues.
“Dear online aunties, please stop coming to my dm with your double standard narrative. I’m tired of reading your numerous dumb advice… I’ll do what I did again and again if your favourite goes the same route, I wonder why you all think it’s okay for her to publicly call out a colleague ( when she could have easily put a call through) and subjected him to PUBLIC criticism but it’s not okay for his wife to PUBLICLY stand up for him.. isn’t that funny? Just stop sending those dms. I’m tired of blocking.”
Wakadaily reported that the controversy began when actress Dayo Amusa responded to the victory of famous Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, at the movie premiere of Eniola Ajao’s Ajakaju.
Bobrisky’s success at the event evoked mixed reactions. He was announced as the best dressed female at the movie premiere, which surprised and amazed many, including award-winning actress Toyin Abraham.
Dayo Amusa, in response to the announcement, made a video expressing her dissatisfaction with the disrespect shown towards women present at the premiere.
The actress slamed the judges and organizers, stating that they were wrong and inappropriate to name a crossdresser as the best dressed female. She argued that they should have created another category to appreciate crossdressers.
However, she concluded the video on a positive note, assuring her fans that she harbors no ill feelings towards anyone, but simply wanted to voice her opinion.
