Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has spoke out on the disputes and jealousy within his community, the Igbos.
In a post on his Instagram account, he mentioned that numerous families and relatives are harboring ill feelings towards each other due to their parents speaking negatively about one another. Adding that some individuals can’t even recall the original cause of the dispute.
Yul further commented that there is enmity and jealousy in nearly every extended family in Igbo land, despite the fact that they attend church on Sundays, which makes no sense to him.
“Many families, cousins are bearing malice against each other, cos of something their parents told them that the other parents did to them donkey years back. Some can’t even remember the reason for the quarrel. There’s beef and envy in almost every extended family in Igbo land.Yet, every Sunday they’re in Church.Makes no sense”.
Yul Edochie made a similar statement last year, expressing his disappointment over the extreme jealousy of the Igbo people. He encouraged them to be successful, saying that some successful Igbo people often face violence from their families.
The son of Nollywood actor Pete Edochie, asked the public an important question while preaching about love. He wondered why people were so sad when he asked how many people had to die to know that life was short.
He also urged his fans and followers on social media to spread love everywhere, both within and outside their communities. He expressed concern about the abundance of hatred and jealousy in the world, emphasizing the importance of spreading love.
