Three Arrested for Raping a Minor, Unsound Mind in Adamawa 

The Adamawa State Police Command on Saturday arrested two suspects for raping a mental health challenge woman in Dirma Song Local Government Area of the State.

The suspects identified as Kwallan John who’s 23-year-old and Imamu Abdulrahman 21-year-old are both residents of Dirma village in Song LGA, they convinced the victim and took her to an uncompleted building and sexually assault her.

The statement read,  “On 19/6/2022 apprehended two suspects for criminal conspiracy and rape of a 35 years old victim of unsound mind a resident of Dirma village Dumne, Song local government area. 

The suspects one Kwallan John 23 years old and Imamu Abdulrahman 21years old all resident of Dirma village in Song local government area, conspired and took the victim to an uncompleted building and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.

“The suspects were apprehended by the police in Dumne Divisional HQtrs, following report received from one Simon D. Adamu a community member.

The spokesman noted that Similaly “On 20/6/2022 also apprehended a 34year old man for sexually assaulting two minors of jiddel village, Michika LGA.

The suspect identified as Dauda Idris a taxi driver and of Jiddel village, took advantage of the little girl’s haven noticed the absence of their parents.

He said, ” Investigation so far reveals, that the Suspects raped the little girls severally with threat to kill them if they speak out, while the former took advantage of the victim ‘s mental ill health, The Commissioner of Police CP SK Akande haven directed for discreet investigations.

“The police Boss have directed for immediate prosecution of the suspects so as to serve as deterrence to others.”

He equally advised members of the public particularly parents to take proper control of their wards.
