Tinubu picks Keyamo as minister, withdraws Mariam Shetty’s nomination

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated spokesman for the dissolved APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo as minister.

The president removed Dr Maryam Shetty from Kano State as a Ministerial nominee that is scheduled to be screened today.

Maryam Shetty was replaced with Mairiga  Mahmoud on Friday.

The former Minister of State for Labour and Productivity was named as a Ministerial nominee on Friday.

Wakadaily reported that the president had on Wednesday sent an additional list of 19 nominees.

The ministerial nomination of Maryam Shetty from Kano State by President Tinubu had continued to generate mixed reactions from Nigerians.

The 44-year-old is a Political and Social Activist. Although the reason for removing her was not made known as of time of writing this report.
