Its a happy moment for beloved screen goddess and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi as she hit a new milestone with her movie, Malaika.

The Nollywood actress said Malaika has grossed N300 million since its release in the cinema. As a result, the movie is now her highest-grossing film and the 9th-grossing Nigerian film of all time.

The previous record was held by Ijakumo which was released in 2022 and grossed N270 million at cinema, while The Ghost and the Tout earned N134 million.

The elated movie star took to his Instagram page to expressed his gratitude with her fan and followers, who made it come through.

Toyin Abraham wrote; “Thank you GOD and thank you to everyone who has seen Malaika. Malaika is now the 9 highest-grossing Nigerian film of all time. Malaikathemovie is still showing in all cinemas”.

The actress earlier narrated her ordeal with the piracy of her new movie ‘Malaika’. She noted that due to the movie being pirated she had panic attack and was hospitalized various times.

She declared her intention of taking up the fight against pirates, she also commended the police, and especially AIG IG Idowu Owohunwa, for matching their words with action by arresting the suspects.
