Popular Nigeria Afrobeats legendary duo, Peter and Paul Okeye professionally known as P-Square, reportedly shut down London as the concert got a massive turnout from fans.
Peter and Paul split up due to family related issues in 2017 although several reports said the split was career-related. Meanwhile late 2021 they reunited and announced their plans of producing a song together in January 2022.
Their highly anticipated debut EP, consisting of two songs tilted ‘Jaiye (Ihe Geme) and Find Somebody’ written and produced by the duo themselves was released on 22nd July.
Speaking about their new single, P-Square says, “The decision to release two singles at the same time came from the need to make it up to our fans after our sojourn as individual artists, and to show our creative growth. ‘Jaiye (Ihe Geme)’ is a catchy upbeat track we believe is the perfect vibe for the summer, while ‘Find Somebody’ delivers that unmistakable P-Square vibe with a twist. We can’t wait to share more from our album in the coming months”.
Their first concert after they reunited was held on Royal Albert Hall in the UK on Wednesday, with a carrying capacity of 5,272.
