Two die in Oyo road crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps in Oyo State has confirmed that two people have lost their lives in an auto crash along Iseyin- Ogbomoso road.

Wakadaily learnt that the road crash occurred on Tuesday night when an 18-seater passenger bus ferrying people somersaulted on the expressway.

A source said the bus took a disorderly heap off the road after experiencing a sudden tyre burst at full speed.

Mayowa Odewo, the sector Public Relations Officer, confirmed this to The Newsmen in Ibadan, the state capital.

He said, “In the crashed vehicles, the sum of N167,000 and one male adult dead body were handed over to DPO, Oke Owode Police station.

“However, the female adult taken to BOWEN Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso was confirmed dead at the hospital while the male child is receiving treatment.”

He, therefore, cautioned drivers against overspeeding and discriminate parking.
