UFC 287: Obi, Tinubu congratulate Israel Adesanya

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi and the president-elect Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian mixed martial artist, Israel Adesanya, after he reclaimed his UFC middleweight belt title in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)287.

Wakadaily reports that Adesanya won back the 185lb title just five months after he lost it to his bitter rival Alex Pereira, who has previously beaten him twice in kickboxing.

Tje former governor of Anambra State congratulated him via his Twitter page on Sunday, he wrote, “By decisively knocking out his opponent and regaining his UFC Middleweight Title last night, Israel Adesanya @stylebender proved that persistence is the path to reclamation. Congratulations valiant Champion!.. – PO”.

The former Lagos State governor on his part wrote, “Congratulations to Israel Adesanya #stylebender on reclaiming the UFC Middleweight Title. He never stopped believing in himself and we did not stop believing in him. #NaijaProud.”
