Nigerian musician, Portable, continues to express his frustration towards his wife and the mother of two of his children, Bewaji.
Bewaji recently posted a mysterious message referring to herself as a Queen and discussing the ungratefulness of people. She encouraged her followers to do what makes them happy and highlighted how easily humans forget acts of kindness.
Portable responded to her post by blasting her, claiming that she is nothing without his name. He blamed his wife for the loss of respect he has experienced and questioned what more he could do for her, considering her constant unhappiness.
The controversial singer accused his wife of being jealous because he has impregnated other women, despite her telling him she was done having children. Asserting that he is not her servant, he suggested that she is trying to trap him.
Portable expressed his frustration with his wife’s constant belittlement, despite him taking care of her financial responsibilities. He advised her to leave if she is tired, reminding her that there are other women who would gladly take her place.
“‘If they remove my name from your name you are nothing. You h*te me because another woman had a child for me. Were you not the one that said you have stopped childbearing? Everything I do for you, you are not grateful. It is my money you love. You always tell me everytime that you would leave but enjoyment did not allow you to. You are an ungrateful woman. Ask your mother if your father took care of her like I do. There are women begging me to come back. The moment you leave, you are not coming back to my house. Go if you want to go, I am not your slave”.
A week ago, on her birthday, the singer faced criticism for her birthday caption, where she referred to herself as the “Queen of Herself”.
Portable became angry and demanded respect from her. During an Instagram live session, he threatened to kick her out of their home if she didn’t change the caption and suggested that her friends influenced her actions.
Eventually, Bewaji gave in to the pressure and deleted the birthday post, changing her Instagram bio to match her husband’s.
In response, Daniel Regha criticized Portable for always seeking attention and explained that respect should be earned, not given. He believed Portable’s behavior online showed a lack of self-esteem and a need for validation from women.
The next day, the singer praised Bewaji, calling her his Queen. Several months ago, there were rumors that Portable had physically assaulted his wife, supported by photos circulating online.
Bewaji denied these claims, accusing people of trying to ruin her husband’s life and career. Portable also denied the reports and accused his ex-girlfriend, Ashabi, of spreading lies about their marriage.
In response to a troll questioning Bewaji’s decision to celebrate Portable’s birthday in March, she defended herself by explaining that she wanted to have children with only one man and because of their future together.
